TUI has issued a statement on the ongoing situation in Rhodes as thousands desperately flee for their lives due to wildfires on the Greek island.
The airline has now cancelled all outbound flights until Tuesday (July 25) and said it has 'over 300' reps, drivers and service colleagues helping out, as holidaymakers were evacuated from their hotels as the huge flames crawled closer.
The six-day blaze continued to rage on Sunday (July 23) after the fire service warned more fires could break out with temperatures set to reach 45C.
Greek authorities said 19,000 people have been evacuated so far, with the Ministry of Climate Change and Civil Protection adding it was “the largest evacuation from a wildfire in the country”.
