GMP offer huge reward for help after two girls left with shotgun injuries in horror drive-by shooting at family gathering

One year on from a south Manchester drive-by shooting, police have issued a fresh appeal for information with a £50k reward.

Two teenage girls sustained injuries in the shooting outside a party on Quinney Crescent in Moss Side shortly before 10:30pm on July 29, 2022.

Officers say the 'reckless' and 'dangerous' actions of those responsible 'could easily have had tragic consequences'. They are offering a £50,000 reward to anyone who can provide police with key information that leads to the successful conviction of those responsible. Police said at the time they were treating the attack as attempted murder after the girls were left with shotgun injuries.

Detective Superintendent Chris Downey said at the time of the incident that a 'family were coming together to celebrate a loved one who passed away', when a gunman in a dark-coloured SUV opened fire on the crowd.
