A five-year-old girl was rushed to hospital after being attacked by a dog outside a shop in what her family have described as a 'horrific nightmare'.
The incident happened at around 5pm on Saturday (August 12) in Teesside with police and ambulance crews attending. It is believed that 'beautiful and bubbly' Farrah-Leigh Nichol asked permission before petting the bully-type dog.
She is now undergoing skin graft operations on her left cheek, with her parents Danielle Kemp and Alex Nichol by her side in hospital.
