Triple H given WWE 'creative' control after Vince McMahon misconduct allegations aired

WWE following the retirement of Vince McMahon amid misconduct allegations.Triple H, real-name Paul Levesque, will take on "all responsibilities" relating to the creative path of the World Wrestling Entertainment company in addition to usual duties.A statement released by the Board of Directors today confirmed the retirement of Vince McMahon, who recently had accusations of misconduct levelled at him.READ MORE: Veer Mahaan on waiting months to make WWE Raw return and bizarre interview segmentThe retirement of McMahon, 77, was announced on his Twitter page where he said it was "time for me to retire" after the WWE board began an investigation into a £2.4million ($3million) hush money settlement.Triple H's wife of 19 years and daughter of Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, will also take on the role of Chairwoman of the Board.Daily Star had previously reported that Stephanie McMahon, 45, had been appointed Interim CEO of the company following the allegations of misconduct levelled at Vince McMahon.

In a statement released by WWE and its board of directors, the appointment of Stephanie McMahon and Levesque were confirmed.The statement read: "WWE executive Paul Levesque will assume all responsibilities related to WWE’s creative, in addition to his regular duties."As well as Triple H's new duties, Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan were appointed as Co-Chief Executive Officers of the company following "uncertainties relating to management changes".The statement explained that the appointments were due to "uncertainties relating to the management changes, including the departure of Vince McMahon from the Company".Triple H's role with the company and taking on of creative control may come as a surprise, with the 52-year-old recently.
