One of Kirkcudbright’s leading artists has died at the age of 73.Pauline Saul passed away at her Greengate home on Christmas Eve with her family by her side.Along with husband Colin, Pauline strongly believed in bringing art to the people whenever possible.The duo organised the award-winning Kirkcudbright Art and Crafts Trail and played a key role in the town’s annual Festival of Light.Pauline worked at Greengate Studio where in her own words she specialised in “painting cats in a quirky style and fearsome fish in mixed media”.Colin, son Eddie and daughter Kathryn have been left devastated by their loss but are consoled by priceless memories.A heartbroken Colin told the News: “Pauline was determined and talented and would do anything for
