Tragedy as woman dies after being pulled from water at Salford Quays

A 53-year-old woman has tragically died after being pulled from the water at Salford Quays. Emergency services descended on the water at Clippers Quay on August 13 after the alarm was raised over a woman in difficulty.

A huge number of police officers, firefighters and paramedics were pictured on the scene as a cordon was put in place just over the water from Old Trafford football ground.

The Manchester Evening News understands her death is not being treated as suspicious. Flowers and tributes have been placed at the scene for the woman.
