A body has been discovered by police in a mountainous region of Majorca, just days after a British woman was found dead nearby.
The victims are thought to have been caught in a sudden flash flood. Spain's Civil Guard has reported that both individuals were following a path which leads through a narrow gorge to the sea when they encountered severe weather on the Mediterranean island last Tuesday.
Search efforts focused on the vicinity of the Torrent de Pareis canyon in the Tramuntana mountains since Wednesday where the woman's body was found.
The search ended with the finding of the man's remains on Friday, as confirmed by the Civil Guard to Reuters.
