A person was tragically found dead on a railway line on Tuesday (September 24), with trains to Manchester cancelled at emergency services swarmed the area.
Police and paramedics were called to the railway line near to Macclesfield train station at around 3.47pm to reports of a casualty on the tracks.

Their death is not being treated as suspicious. British Transport Police remained at the scene for around an hour before services were resumed.
