A 25-year-old cyclist has tragically died after being struck by a HGV at a busy roundabout in Salford. The smash happened on Albion Way, at the roundabout with the M602 and the A57 Regent Road, at around 1pm yesterday (Wednesday, November 20).
A huge emergency services presence descended on the scene as road closures were put in the place around the area. A forensic tent was erected on the road as investigations were carried out, as a screen was also erected.

The driver of the HGV remained on the scene to assist police. No arrests have been made at this stage, the GMP spokesperson added.
