Steven Bergwijn grabbed the opening goal of the game in the first half, which looked to have sealed all three points for Spurs.
The Dutch forward showed Harry Maguire a clean set of heels, skipping inside the United captain and racing through on goal before firing past David de Gea, who should have done better.
But United pressed for an equaliser in the second half, and Bruno Fernandes was able to level from the spot late on after Pogba was tripped in the box by Eric Dier following some neat footwork.
