Tony Adams has named Rob Holding as a 'captain in the making' for Arsenal - but says the centre-half is at a crossroads in his career where he needs to kick on.
Holding has been a consistent presence at the heart of Mikel Arteta's defence this season - having started all but three of the Gunners' 20 Premier League games.
He has put in some assured performances in recent weeks, with Arsenal having kept four clean sheets in a row before their 3-1 win over Southampton on Tuesday.
Legendary ex-skipper Adams has tipped Holding to eventually take the captaincy from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. However, the 25-year-old has been warned he must now make the most of his opportunities - with Adams pointing out that he had already won the league
