Tommy Fury and Jake Paul clash, and one of the fighters has issued a fresh challenge to the other. The 2019 Love Island runner-up was supposed to face Paul earlier this month at Madison Square Garden, but was forced to cancel the fight after he had issues getting into America. It was the second time that he had been unable to fight his rival after suffering a rib injury during training camp for their scheduled meeting in December at Florida's Amalie Arena.
Now, he has once more implored Paul to give him a chance and make the fight happen, insisting that he is up for the challenge and is keen for any potential contest to take place in the UK.The 23-year-old took to Instagram and laid down the gauntlet for his American counterpart. “A certain somebody can’t keep my name out their month, he’s doing tweets about me and he’s even put Amanda Serrano on the Joe Joyce vs Joe Parker bill next month in Manchester, knowing full well that I’ll be there,” Fury began. There’s no excuses here, no-one’s afraid to fight you,” he added. “Get in touch, you pick the date, the venue, I’m not bothered, let’s get this on.”Paul has since issued a simple yet profound response of “groundhog day”, referring to the two previous failed attempts to fight Fury.
