Tom & Jerry is No. 1! The live-action/CGI hybrid just notched the second-best domestic opening of the entire pandemic as of Sunday (February 28), according to THR.

The movie brought in $13.7 million from 2,475 theaters and a global total of $38.8 million through Sunday, the outlet reported.

The opening marks the second-best three-day launch of the pandemic behind fellow Warner Bros. release Wonder Woman 1984 ($16.7 million) amid theater re-openings around the country. “The strong debut of the family pic — by COVID-19 terms— is a good sign for Hollywood as New York City theaters prepare to open on March 5 (Los Angeles).
