Filming for Tom Cruise 's latest Mission Impossible instalment has been scrapped after the film's crew reportedly refused to work on set any longer.

Shooting the hotly anticipated action-packed movie during a pandemic has proven to be mission impossible after the cast and crew flew to the Middle East to film some scenes.

However the director was forced to yell cut during filming of the seventh instalment of the popular franchise due to unhappy production staff, reports The Sun.

Crew members reportedly wanted to head back home to the UK this weekend before hotel quarantine rules come into effect on Monday.
