Three police officers were assaulted after a 'serious' road traffic smash in Tameside. Six cars were 'taken out' in the crash, according to reports.
Emergency services were called to Hyde Road in Denton, at around 11.30pm on Easter Sunday. And police have revealed a drunk shouted abuse at paramedics and traffic officers as they tried to deal with the incident.
It comes as Greater Manchester's deputy mayor for policing and crime, Bev Hughes, hit out at 'despicable' attacks on police officers working on the frontline during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown after a series of recent incidents.
GMP Tameside North revealed details on Facebook on Bank Holiday Monday morning. A driver, aged 26, was arrested following the smash.
