Two people were arrested after a raid at a house on Friday morning (July 21) with thousands of pounds of cash, Class A and C drugs, plus mobile phones seized.

The raid was carried out at a property on Bideford Drive in Wythenshawe with a 41-year-old man and 43-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

Police say the cash, drugs, and phones seized were consistent with a drugs operation taking place at the property. Both remain in police custody for questioning. Sergeant Hanif from Wythenshawe Neighbourhood Team said: "This was a great result for our neighbourhood team and is all part of our fight to remove dangerous and illegal substances from our streets.

We are committed to tackling this type of criminality that blights our communities and as a team we are dedicated to making our streets safer for those who live and work in the area. "I’d like to take this opportunity to appeal to members of the public for information.
