This Morning star's honest view on Ben and Cat after first week – 'I'm ready to jump in'

This Morning's Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley are the latest faces to grace the ITV show's sofa with viewers taking to social media to give their views on the pairing's first few weeks in the job.

But now their new colleague - competitions presenter Jean Johansson - has spoken out about the show's decision to pick the new TV duo.

Speaking to OK! in an exclusive interview, Jean - who is the new host of Channel 4's Key to a Fortune - revealed that she thought This Morning's decision to pick Ben and Cat was an "amazing" one. "I’m a massive Cat Deeley fan, she's one of the reasons I became a TV presenter," Jean said. "So, I love love that she got the role." Jean added that while she hosts competition segments on This Morning, she's ready to take over from Cat if she needs a break anytime soon. "It's 365 days a year, so if she needs a day off, I'm standing by to jump in." While the Place in the Sun host is happy for Ben and Cat, she admits that she's hoping to increase her role on This Morning.

Speaking about her plans for the future, Jean said: "Just having more of a presence on This Morning. "I love doing the competitions so who knows, if there's a wee spare Friday where they're going to put a different face on the sofa?
