Just weeks after making her highly anticipated debut on ITV's This Morning, the BBC are reportedly looking to snatch up Cat Deeley.
Cat - who is making waves on the hit daytime TV show - is said to have caught the eye of BBC bosses who are keen to lure her over to their network and host an entertainment show.
A source, according to The Mail on Sunday, has claimed that following a 'tit for tat' row between the BBC and ITV over poaching one another's talent, some bosses are said to 'see the tremendous value' in hiring Cat. "Cat has the queen of Saturday night television feel about her, and females are lacking in that area," the source said. "She is used to hosting a glitzy show in America and put with the right programme over here, she could be an absolute ratings winner. "There is no love lost between the BBC and ITV for the stealing of stars, so what a great move it would be." OK!
have contacted the BBC, ITV and Cat's reps for comment. It appears that ITV recently snapped up BBC stars including Graham Norton, Gary Lineker and Zoe Ball to host their shows, while Alison Hammond and Paddy McGuinness both moved over to the BBC.
