"This is a market town": Protesters gather to oppose redevelopment plans

If the £135m transformation goes ahead, the shopping centre and the market would be demolished to make way for up to 464 homes, a 150-room hotel and a 'multimedia' centre featuring a cinema, bowling alley and indoor mini golf.
