Punters savoured early morning pints as pubs in England were allowed to reopen from 6am on "Super Saturday" after being shut for more than three months due to coronavirus.
A Manchester pubgoer named Jimmy said his first Carling was like "an angel p***ing on the tip of me tongue", while north London punter Andrew Slawinski said first pub pint was "like winning the [Premier] League".
At the Buck Inn in Sadberge, Teesside, one pubgoer sipped his pint through a straw while wearing a face mask. Some pubs were taking temperatures amid fears visitors could be carrying the virus.
There were queues before some places opened, including The Regal in Gloucester, where Liam Flood was first at the doors at 7.45am and ordered a Guinness 15 minutes later
