Of the five artists who performed in the first part of The Voice's Season 18 finale, only one could win on Tuesday night. This season's final episode was an unusual one for the show, as the performances and results were delivered through video conferencing technology. This meant there were a lot less of those snazzy stage effects that have become a hallmark of The Voice's finales and a lot more improvising by the talent, coaches, and hosts. Still, some major names joined in on the fun from a distance, including Lady Antebellum, Bebe Rexha, CeeLo Green, Shakira, and Gwen Stefani. 

What a season, what a finale, what a time.  The Voice just closed out season 18 and revealed a winner in the strangest, most surreal finale of the entire series.

Todd Tilghman won season 18 of The Voice on Tuesday during the show's first-ever live remote finale due to the coronavirus pandemic.The 41-year-old pastor from Meridian, Mississippi, jumped up and down in a small room with his excited wife and eight children after being named the winner.Confetti rained down on them and Todd's coach Blake Shelton, 43, who was grinning from ear to ear on his own separate screen.
