The Spanish have a particular word to describe British tourists - and its origins suggest that it may not be a complimentary one.

Pronounced, 'guee-ree’ the nickname isn't necessarily reserved for just Brits as it can apply to anybody who likes to have fun and drink excessively while on holiday.
The connotations of the word differ depending on the origin which you choose to subscribe it to, which in turn dictates how offensive it is or is isn't.
