Simon Phillip Cowell (born 7 October 1959) is an English television personality, businessman and record executive. He has judged on the British television talent competition series Pop Idol (2001–2003), The X Factor (2004–2010, 2014–present) and Britain's Got Talent (2007–present), and the American television talent competition series American Idol (2002–2010), The X Factor (2011–2013), and America's Got Talent (2016–present). Cowell is the principal, founder and chief executive of the British entertainment company Syco.
Kelly Clarkson
Kelly Brianne Clarkson (born April 24, 1982) is an American singer-songwriter, actress, author and television personality. She rose to fame in 2002, after winning the first season of American Idol, which earned her a record deal with RCA Records. Clarkson's debut single, "A Moment Like This", topped the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and became the country's best-selling single of 2002. It was followed by the release of her debut studio album, Thankful (2003), which debuted atop the US Billboard 200. Trying to reinvent her image, Clarkson parted ways with Idol management and shifted to pop rock music for her second album, Breakaway (2004). After numerous top 40 radio number-one singles, such as "Since U Been Gone" and "Because of You", the album sold over 12 million copies worldwide and earned Clarkson two Grammy Awards.

‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ Heads Back To Studio For Season 2, Brings In Virtual Audience

Peter White Television EditorEXCLUSIVE: Kelly Clarkson spent part of the COVID-19 lockdown on her ranch in Montana, where she was filming weekly remote episodes of her daytime talkshow.However, the pop star and host is now back in Los Angeles and stepping in for Simon Cowell on America’s Got Talent.She is also gearing up to return to the studio for the second season of The Kelly Clarkson Show.

The syndicated series is heading back to the Universal Studios lot to start filming episodes for season two at the beginning of September.

The second season will premiere on September 21, while the show will also air five additional original episodes the week of September 14 as a countdown to the sophomore season.
