THE FLASH star Gavin Gustin says the program was in talks for three more seasons before filming was interrupted due to the coronavirus pandemic.
During an appearance on Michael Rosenbaum's Inside of You podcast, he explained that negotiations were ongoing until the pandemic threw everything into chaos.
Gustin, 30, said: "The conversations actually had started already for adding a potential eighth and ninth [season], but then this pandemic happened, and everything has stopped." The Barry Allen actor also revealed that he has missed out on opportunities to take part in new projects due to his commitment to the CW program.
