There are some new additions to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue! On Monday (December 20), President Joe Biden announced that his family had adopted a new puppy named Commander. “Welcome to the White House, Commander,” he tweeted alongside a video of the dog. Michael LaRosa, a spokesman for First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, told People that Commander is a male, pure-bred German shepherd born in September.
He arrived at the White House on Monday afternoon and was a birthday gift from Joe Biden‘s brother James and James‘ wife, Sara.
