This film is written and directed by Aaron Sorkin and is based on the infamous 1969 trial that transfixed the US. Seven defendants were charged by the federal government with conspiracy (and more), following the countercultural protests in Chicago at the 1968 Democratic National Convention.With the BLM movement and upcoming presidential election, it’s an extremely timely release for the film.
The cast is also extremely strong and includes Eddie Redmayne, Sacha Baron Cohen, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Keaton, Mark Rylance and Jeremy Strong.
