Charles, Prince of Wales (Charles Philip Arthur George; born 14 November 1948) is the heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest son of Elizabeth II. He has been Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay since 1952, and he is the oldest and longest-serving heir apparent in British history.
He is also the longest-serving Prince of Wales, having held that title since 1958. Charles was born at Buckingham Palace as the first grandchild of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. He was educated at Cheam and Gordonstoun schools, which his father, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, had attended as a child. Charles also spent a year at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.

The likes of Prince Charles and the Queen drop all Pomp and Circumstance when they're talking amongst themselves at home and refrain from using their official titles.
Some have their own nicknames for each other, with Meghan Markle previously revealing she calls her husband Prince Harry 'Haz'.And the Queen is known as Lilibet to her nearest and dearest.Young children usually form their own unique monikers for their grandparents when they struggle to say gran or grandad, so Prince William was not alone when he couldn't get his mouth round 'grandma' - referring to the monarch as 'Gary' when he was a tot.
And the youngest generation of royals also use cute names for their elders, as reports the Mirror. A heartwarming fact for Princess Diana fans is that Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are said to know everything about 'Granny Diana' and they call the Prince of Wales 'Grandpa Wales'.
