Tesco customers furious after supermarket hikes price of plastic bag to 30p

Tesco has followed other major supermarkets in raising the price of “bag for life” carrier bags by 50%.The supermarket giant had doubled the price of the bags less than two years ago, and the “hidden” increase in the price of a weekly shop has not gone down well among customers who already suffering from the growing cost of living crisis.Many Tesco customers went to social media to vent their frustration.

those who walk or get public transport to the supermarket?”Consumer champion Martyn James said that increasing prices unnecessarily during the cost of living crisis was an "extremely ill-advised" move.
