Tennis star Eugenie Bouchard brands Maria Sharapova a "d***" as feud rumbles on

The Canadian used a recent podcast appearance as a chance to talk about why she dislikes the five-time Grand Slam champion. Appearing on Pardon My Take, Bouchard was speaking about her experiences playing the women's game.
Asked which player stood out to her as a "d**k" during warm-ups, the 28-year-old didn't need to think about the answer for long. "Oh yeah, Sharapova," she said swiftly. "She just tries to hit the ball as hard as she can in the warm-up.
It's so annoying. She's trying to intimidate you but it didn't work on me."Bouchard went on to say that, although the umpire cannot force players to warm up, to refuse to do so would be detrimental to a player's performance. "You could just walk on the court and decide not to warm up if you don't want to but normally most of us just do some easy rallying to feel good and some try to do winners and hit as hard as they can," she added.The Canadian was once a big fan of Sharapova, even once saying as a fresh-faced 19-year-old: "She is my idol, and I look up to her, especially her game style.
