Moss Side.The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared in the dock at Manchester Magistrates' Court this morning (August 17).He spoke only to confirm his name and date of birth.The boy is charged with one offence of murder of Mohamoud Mohamed and one offence of possession of a bladed article, namely a large knife.No pleas were entered.At around 7.15pm on July 26 this year, police were called to Henbury Street, Manchester after they received reports of a disturbance.Emergency services attended and a 17-year-old boy, formally identified as Mohamoud Mohamed, was pronounced dead at the scene.There was no application for bail.The teenager, of Stretford, was remanded into secure accommodation and will next appear at Manchester.
