Comedy series Ted Lasso, one of Apple TV+’s most successful shows, could return for a fourth season, even though the third season in 2023 was expected to be the last we would see of big-hearted American soccer coach Ted, as played by Jason Sudeikis, and the Richmond football team.The series ended with various happy endings as Ted returned to the US to be nearer his son, Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham) bumped into the man she romanced in Amsterdam, Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt) remained in England to marry Jane and Roy (Brett Goldstein) became manager of Richmond FC.
However, according to Deadline, the studio that makes the series, Warner Bros Television, has signed up original British cast members Hannah, Brett and Jeremy Swift, who played Higgins, for a new series of the show.
It is also believed that Jason, Brendan and Juno Temple, who played publicist Keeley, will be approached for the new series.
Many believe plans for new episodes would not have got this far if Jason was not on board, with Deadline stating: "Getting the cast back paves the way toward a Season 4 greenlight."
