Teachers 'shocked' after firebugs target Glasgow school in deliberate attack

Teachers were left stunned after sick firebugs torched a Glasgow school last night. St Catherine's Primary in Barmulloch was targeted by the yobs, who started the fire in a bin before the blaze quickly reached the building, scorching the walls.

Firefighters battled the flames before they spread throughout the building and thankfully there was no significant damage to the building.

No one was injured as a result of the blaze and the school will reopen to the children of key workers as usual tomorrow.A spokesperson for the Catholic school said on social media: "Shocked to receive a call last night about a fire in the school."Mr Reynolds and I were up today and thankfully no serious damage and we’ll be open as normal tomorrow."If anyone has.
