A brother and sister who never knew each other existed after they were put into care as kids have had an “overwhelming” reunion after 40 years apart.
Donna Cowell, 48, and Phil Holme, 44, were amazed to find that they were living within three miles of each other in Blackpool, Lancs.
Donna was placed in care homes with other brother Damien after their birth mother became homeless. When Donna was eight, they were adopted together.
Years later, when they were shown their cases files as adults, Donna and Damien, 46, found out they had a little brother. Donna contacted ITV programme Long Lost Family, hosted by Davina McCall and Nicky Campbell, in a desperate bid to find her sibling.
