The Chicks, has died aged 65.According to a statement from the Texas public safety department that was reported by the TV news station KTSM, Lynch was killed in a crash while driving a pickup truck outside El Paso on Friday night (December 22). She was struck head-on by the driver of another truck who was trying to pass another car along a two-way, undivided portion of the highway.Lynch co-founded the group, then known as the Dixie Chicks, in 1989 alongside – alongside Robin Lynn Macy, Martie Erwin and Emily Erwin.

Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band have announced the support acts for their BST Hyde Park shows in London.Announced today (April 20), The Boss shared the three acts that will be joining his band on July 6 and 8.On the first date they will be supported by The Chicks and Frank Turner and his touring band The Sleeping Souls.The Chicks will also return for the second date along with James Bay. The shows are part of Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band’s forthcoming UK tour which also includes shows at BT Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh on May 30 and Villa Park in Birmingham on June 16.

The Chicks have announced a 37-date world tour, with dates in the UK, Europe and North America.The trio – formerly known as the Dixie Chicks – will kick off the tour on June 20 in Olso, Norway at Spektrum, eventually finishing up at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena on September 18.The band’s UK run of shows will be The Chicks’ first dates in the UK for seven years and support will come from Maren Morris.General tickets for all UK and European dates are on sale on Friday, February 17 at 10am local. The Chicks honored Olivia Newton-John during their tour stop in Washington Saturday night.Natalie Maines, Martie Maguire and Emily Strayer, formerly known as the Dixie Chicks, took a break from their set to perform «Hopelessly Devoted to You,» the solo ballad made famous by the late singer-actress in the movie musical, .«We lost a worldwide sweetheart last week, Olivia Newton-John,» Maines, who encouraged the crowd to sing along, said. «I thought I was Olivia Newton-John from like 4 to 12, and then I just wished I was Olivia Newton-John.

The band took to Twitter Monday night to reveal that, due to a doctor's orders, they have to postpone the next three dates on their tour.«As a result of strict doctor’s orders for vocal rest, the Chicks are forced to postpone the following shows,» the group announced, listing off their engagements in Noblesville, Indiana, Cincinnati, Ohio and Clarkston, Michigan. The announcement further stated that all three shows have been rescheduled for late September and earlier October.«The Chicks apologize for the inconvenience and hope to see you all at the new dates,» the post continued.
