Oprah Winfrey famously interviewed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in 2021 - and now the iconic TV presenter "could be questioned by lawyers" because the bombshell chat.It has been reported that Oprah might have to submit to a deposition in America after the Duchess' sister Samantha Markle sues for £60,000 in damages.The Sun reports that Samantha wants to "call on" Oprah - among other people - because she believes that her reputation was damaged after her sister spoke about her during the tell-all interview last year.READ MORE: Harry and Meghan 'hunting for new US mansion' after deciding £14m home 'isn't enough'Meghan's lawyer has said that Samantha's legal team has "identified 19 non-party witnesses, including Prince Harry, Meghan’s mother and Oprah Winfrey" whom she wants to depose.As well as believing that her reputation was damaged during the tell-all interview with Oprah, where Meghan said she was "only child", Samantha also says that she was defamed in the book Finding Freedom.Finding Freedom is a biography about Meghan and Harry's lives together from courting to marriage. It also depicts their eventual departure from the British royal family as working royals.Finding Freedom came out in 2020 and is a book written by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand.Samantha is Meghan's half-sister, whom the Duchess has lost touch with in recent years.

rewrite sections of his forthcoming memoir over fears it will reflect poorly in the wake of the Queen's death - but do you think he should cancel its release?According to one royal expert, the Duke of Sussex wants to edit his bombshell book to avoid causing offence to his estranged family members.In an interview with GB News, Kinsey Schofield said: “He is afraid that he’ll come off insensitive and he’s afraid that there will be backlash if he releases some of these stories right after the death of Queen Elizabeth as his father King Charles is trying to start his reign on a high note.”Harry has vowed that the book will be a "truthful and wholly accurate" account of his life - with the announcement of the novel sending a "tsunami of fear" through royal circles.Penguin Random House has described the memoir as an “honest and captivating personal portrait” of his “lifetime in the public eye from childhood to the present day”.But after viewing the first draft, the publisher asked the Duke to rewrite sections of it, as they regarded the manuscript as “too touchy feely” and too focused on mental health, writes the Mail on Sunday.Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.It is understood that the royal family, as well as their lawyers and advisors, have not read any part of the manuscript. Queen’s nanny tried to take her own life after revealing family secrets in tell-all book
Queen as intimately growing up as her nanny — but her insiders book about life working for the royals put her on a dark, lonely path.Marion Crawford was a Scottish educator and governor to Queen Elizabeth and her sister, Princess Margaret, when they were growing up, helping prepare them for public life after their father, King George VI, took the throne.She would teach the children French and even playing the part of hobby horse, allowing herself to be strapped up with reins and bells while carrying the future Queen around Buckingham Palace.Following her retirement, she would go on to publish a book about the princesses' young years.But the Queen Mother objected to Crawford’s insights into the royal family, including hints about the-then king’s mood swings, and froze her out.The 78-year-old was cut off from the family and died alone in a nursing home, having tried to take her own life on two separate occasions.Raised in Fife and taught in Edinburgh, Marion Crawford became a governess for the Duke and Duchess of York who would go onto become King George VI and Queen Elizabeth (later known as the Queen Mother).Upon George VI’s accession to the throne in 1936, “Crawfie” became responsible for educating Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret, with Politico describing her as the royal family’s “very own Mary Poppins”.Crawford was a dedicated companion of the royal family for more than 17 years, being granted a cottage in the grounds of Kensington Palace as a way of thanks for her service upon her retirement in 1947.The teacher was so dedicated to the famous family that she put off getting married for 16 of those years so as not to abandon the King and Queen.But trouble began for the Scot when, in a deal brokered with
