Charles, Prince of Wales (Charles Philip Arthur George; born 14 November 1948) is the heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest son of Elizabeth II. He has been Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay since 1952, and he is the oldest and longest-serving heir apparent in British history.
He is also the longest-serving Prince of Wales, having held that title since 1958. Charles was born at Buckingham Palace as the first grandchild of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. He was educated at Cheam and Gordonstoun schools, which his father, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, had attended as a child. Charles also spent a year at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.
Prince Charles and William reportedly will be "kept in the dark regarding the contents of Prince Harry's forthcoming tell-all memoir".
It's understood that the Royal Family will only read Harry's "heartfelt" book at the same time as the public. Sources have alleged that neither the Prince of Wales nor the Duke of Cambridge, or their lawyers and advisors, have not seen any part of the manuscript.
Last summer, Penguin Random House announced that the "intimate and heartfelt" memoir was “tentatively scheduled” for late 2022, meaning it could hit the shelves this autumn.
It's believed it will be published around the time of Thanksgiving and Christmas. The book is understood to have already gone through all the relevant and appropriate legal processes and some industry experts have speculated that Penguin could opt for a "shock drop" with a number of quick bombshell allegations revealed ahead of publishing, The Telegraph reports.
