They've been asked to explain the meaning of a word that's developed a negative connotation online but has been proudly reclaimed by the psych-punk duo of Eyedress and zzzahara.

IDLES have announced a new date for their postponed show at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena.The five-piece were due to perform at the venue last Friday (February 18) but the gig was postponed the day before due to the effects of Storm Eunice.“Safety is our number one priority, and with the inability for people to travel we are left with no choice than to not go ahead with the show tomorrow,” IDLES said at the time. “Our team is working on a rescheduled date so please hold on to your tickets.

Last month, Death Grips synth wizard Andy Morin announced the founding of his label, A2B2 Records. The imprint is part of Morin's larger A2B2 empire, which also has footholds in print media, radio, and event promotion.

Cassyette has shared her riotous new single, ‘Mayhem’ today (February 17) – listen to it below.The punk influenced track is said to “detail a love that has run its cause and the mayhem that ensues as a result.”Speaking about the new track, Cassyette said: “Over the last year I’ve learnt that nothing good lasts forever and sometimes you have to let things go. I loved him, and he loved me, but after going through so much, it changed things between us and we had too many problems beyond repair.“I had that feeling in the pit of my stomach that our time was up, and we both wanted to let go. We had reached the bottom line and my whole world turned upside down.I don’t think you ever fully get over heartbreak.

Siblings, the first collaborative album from Eyedress and zzzahara as The Simps, has arrived. The duo dropped two tracks in 2019 but had a quiet 2020, finally announcing the new project in January with the release of "Tesla." Before sharing today's album, the duo put out two more tracks, "Rainbow After Rain" and "Hold Me Down," the latter of which received a Simpsons-themed visual treatment last week.

In just two LPs, Dehd have established an unmistakable style that would be most accurately described as post-devotional punk rock. Their songs are worshipful — supplicant, even — but rather than addressing an all-powerful deity, Emily Kempf and Jason Balla are singing to each other.

IDLES have shared the details behind their 2022 North American tour and announced that they’ve been added to this year’s Coachella Music Festival lineup.Along with the new tour dates, the band has shared a video for their single, ‘CRAWL!’ from their fourth studio album, ‘CRAWLER’. The video features a claymation version of frontman Joe Talbot riding a motorcycle while singing the lyrics to the gritty track. Operation Ivy’s Jesse Michales and Tim Armstrong have reunited during a live performance yesterday (February 6).The event took place at the Music Rock N’ Roll Carnival in Los Angeles and saw the two members of Operation Ivy perform one of the bands signature songs, ‘Sound System’. They were backed up by The Interrupters.Armstrong was the festival back-up for The Specials, while Michales was in attendance as an audience member.You can watch the moment below:It comes after Michaels spoke out about the prospect of Operation Ivy reuniting last month, saying that he “wouldn’t object to it”.The Berkeley, California band – whose comprise of singer Michaels, drummer Dave Mello, Rancid‘s Armstrong and Matt ‘McCall’ Freeman – were only active between 1987 and 1989, releasing just the one studio album – 1989’s ‘Energy’ – during their time together.However, Operation Ivy’s music endured since their split, with Green Day regularly covering the band’s track ‘Knowledge’ during their live shows (and often inviting members of the crowd on stage to play the song) and Against Me!‘s Laura Jane Grace launching a petition in 2020 calling for an Operation Ivy reunion at Riot Fest.Speaking on a new episode of The Hard Times Podcast, Michaels was asked about why the members of Operation Ivy hadn’t yet considered the prospect of a reunion.“Well, for a long time we weren’t really talking – it wasn’t because there was bad blood.

Peaches has announced a 20th anniversary tour for her ‘The Teaches Of Peaches’ album – check out dates below.‘The Teaches Of Peaches’ was the first album Peaches released under that stage name and features breakout single ‘Fuck The Pain Away’. As expected, the anniversary tour will see her playing the record in full.The run of shows will kick off May 16 2022 in Washington before heading out across North America.

King Crimson founder Robert Fripp and his wife, singer Toyah Willcox, have shared a cover of ‘Blitzkrieg Bop’ by the Ramones – watch it below.The cover is a part of the pair’s ‘Sunday Lunch’ video series which returned earlier this month after a brief break for the holidays.Launched in 2020, the series has so far seen the couple share renditions of songs by Nirvana, David Bowie, Metallica, Billy Idol, The Rolling Stones, Judas Priest, The Prodigy, Guns N’ Roses, Alice Cooper and many more through Willcox’s YouTube channel.Last week’s cover saw the pair perform The Clash’s ‘Should I Stay Or Should I Go’. Filmed in their kitchen, Fripp played the guitar as Willcox, donning a sheer lace body suit, black stockings, a police man’s hat and the same heart-shaped, black nipple covers from last week, sung and danced around the kitchen.

Suicide have announced the release of their first ever career-spanning collection.Called ‘Surrender’, the collection will be released on Mute/BMG on March 25.The 16-track collection, also contains previously unheard material from the duo, made up of Martin Rev and the late Alan Vega.Two new, unreleased tracks also feature on the collection: ‘Girl (Unreleased Version)’ and ‘Frankie Teardrop (First Version)’. Sex Pistols, has signed a new solo record deal.Matlock has teamed up with Universal Music Group for a new album in 2022, as well as UMG’s catalogue division which will see many of his previous solo albums released.“I am over the moon to have now signed to Universal Music Group, who will be releasing my brand spanking new album, and I can’t wait to get cracking with the team. Watch this space,” he said in a statement via Music Week.He previously said that the Sex Pistols could have made another two or three albums” after ‘Never Mind The Bollocks…’.The iconic punk outfit released their aforementioned sole studio album in 1977, before splitting up the following year after the departure of frontman Johnny Rotten (aka John Lydon).“I think [Sex Pistols] would never have done 10 albums.

Kim Gordon has announced details of a new US, UK and European tour in support of her 2019 album, ‘No Home Record’.The UK and European portion of the dates, which kick off in March, will mark the iconic musician’s first international solo headline tour.Gordon will first take the record across the US, beginning at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston, MA, before venturing on to six further cities for her own shows. She will also perform at Big Ears Festival in Knoxville, TN and Treefort Festival in Boise, ID.

Ho99o9 have returned with a new song called ‘Battery Not Included’, which was produced by Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker.The duo – comprised of theOGM and Eaddy – last released new material last August with their 3TEETH collaboration ‘Paralyze’.Now, Ho99o9 have shared a taste of their upcoming second album, which will arrive this spring. ‘Battery Not Included’ sees the band veer from full-on punk onslaught to something more tender and softer, and back again.“There’s only so much mental & physical affliction + oppression the human psyche can endure before they reach the pinnacle of no return,” theOGM said in a press release.

Rage Against the Machine have pushed back their Public Service Announcement reunion tour with Run The Jewels for the second time. The tour, originally announced in 2019 and set for spring 2020, would have been a five-show southwest run, starting in El Paso, Texas and ending with two headlining performances at that year's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

PUP have shared details of their fourth album, ‘THE UNRAVELING OF PUPTHEBAND’, and with it have released the single ‘Robot Writes A Love Song’.‘THE UNRAVELING OF PUPTHEBAND’ arrives on April 1 via BMG/Rise Records and is available to pre-order here.
