Source Music, a subsidiary of HYBE Labels, has filed a lawsuit against fellow subsidiary ADOR’s CEO Min Hee-jin.On July 15, Sports Seoul reported that Source Music had filed a lawsuit against Min at the Seoul Western District Court. According to the report, the agency is seeking KRW500million (roughly US$360,000) in damages for defamation and interfering with business.

ADOR, which is home to girl group NewJeans, was recently questioned by South Korean police for eight hours amid her feud with HYBE.ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin was seen leaving Yongsan Police Station in Seoul, South Korean at 10pm on Tuesday (July 9), eight hours after questioning begin at 2pm the same day, according to Korea JoongAng Daily.While leaving the police station, Min told reporters that her questioning “wasn’t supposed to take place today” but that she had “requested that I be questioned today because I wanted to”.“I told the truth. […] I’m glad to tell the truth and let it all out,” she said of the session, while also confirming that she had denied breach of trust allegations levied against her by HYBE.

ADOR for the time being, after a court ruled in favour of her injunction to prevent HYBE from exercising its voting rights at an upcoming shareholder meeting.According to reports by Yonhap News Agency and Korea JoongAng Daily, today (May 30) the Seoul Central District Court ruled in favour of an injunction filed by ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin to prevent HYBE from dismissing her as the head of the K-pop agency.“The reasons for Min Hee-jin’s dismissal or resignation claimed by HYBE have not been sufficiently substantiated,” the court stated, per MyDaily via Soompi. “While Min Hee-jin’s actions may be considered betrayal to HYBE, it is difficult to say that they constitute actions of breach of trust in regards to ADOR.”The new ruling means that HYBE, which owns 80 per cent of ADOR, will not be able to remove Min as the CEO of the K-pop agency at an upcoming shareholder meeting tomorrow (May 31).

The music video features the quintet spending quality time with one another, teaching each other how to blow a bubblegum and playing by the beach as Hyein records everything on her camcorder.“From its beginning to end, the clip captures the natural sides of the members, who blow bubble gum and play pranks on each other,” NewJeans’ label ADOR said of ‘Bubble Gum’ in a statement, per The Korea Times.
