Earlier this week, the members of ADOR girl group NewJeans took to their fan community app to share their uneasiness over the situation.Veteran K-pop singer Bada has now spoken out about NewJeans’ situation on social media, sharing that her “heart is really hurting” for the young group.

NCT member and soloist Jaehyun has confirmed his plans to enlist for mandatory military service later this year.On September 26, Star News reported that the K-pop idol will enlist later this year on November 4. Shortly after the news broke, SM Entertainment released a statement on Wevers that confirmed the singer’s enlistment date.“NCT’s Jaehyun has applied to join the army military band, and received a notice of acceptance from the Military Manpower Administration today,” said the agency.

Golden Child will be leaving the group after seven years.In a statement today (August 27) on fan community platform Weverse, Woollim Entertainment announced that Golden Child members TAG, Jibeom and Bomin will be leaving the boyband following “in-depth discussions” with the trio.“It was unfortunately decided that as of today, our management contract with them will conclude,” the K-pop agency added, as translated by Koreaboo. “We sincerely thank TAG, Jibeom and Bomin, who have been with us for a long time and we support their future endeavours.”In its statement, Woollim Entertainment also confirmed that Golden Child will “continue their activities as seven members and will greet their fans through various solo and group activities”, despite the departure of three members.It also announced that five members of the boyband – namely Jangjun, Seungmin, Jaehyun, Donghyun and Joochan – have renewed their contracts with the K-pop agency.

Naver has since uploaded V’s performances of his songs ‘Rainy Days’, ‘Love Me Again’ and ‘Slow Dancing’ on YouTube.The performance opens with V singing his pre-release single ‘Rainy Days’ from a music studio set, before transitioning to an art studio-inspired stage filled with drawings and paintings as he performs ‘Love Me Again’, flanked by four backup singers.Finally, V performs ‘Slow Dancing’ from a foggy stage, with dancers joining in for the song’s instrumental break.

BTS singer V has released three of his previous solo tracks on streaming platforms for the first time.On August 28, Big Hit Music shared that the idol’s solo tracks ‘Scenery’, ‘Winter Bear’ and ‘Snow Flower’ were now available via streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music. V (real name Kim Tae-hyung), a member of K-pop boyband BTS, has tapped NewJeans creative director Min Hee-jin for his upcoming solo album.Toda (August 2), V’s label Big Hit Music revealed to Sports Donga that the singer would be working with Min Hee-jin, the CEO of NewJean’s label ADOR, for his much-anticipated solo album. The ADOR head is set to lead the project, including elements such as the music, choreography and promotion style.Alongside the confirmation, Big Hit’s also released statements by both V and Min Hee-jin about their upcoming collaboration. “I received the offer late last year,” Min Hee-jin said, as translated by Koreaboo.

HYBE’s ADOR label, which houses rookie act NewJeans, has opened up online global auditions to the public.On September 19 at Noon KST, the label shared a graphic poster announcing its ongoing search for talent to join its upcoming acts. Potential applicants can view their official audition site here, which is available in English, Japanese, Mandarin and Korean.Per ADOR’s guidelines, anyone born between the years 2003 and 2011 may apply for the auditions, which are otherwise open to “all genders and nationalities”.Applicants may apply in the categories of singing, rapping and dancing, or in a “free category” that includes acting, modelling and vlogging.
