Pete Doherty has revealed that he’s planning to sign a prisoner he met at a Glasgow jail to his record label.The Libertines frontman met the prisoner while involved in a project that saw him playing to prisoners as part of a life-drawing class. Doherty would play guitar while the prisoners at Barlinnie Prison drew him.Speaking to Craig Charles on 6 Music, Doherty opened up about the experience saying: “It was nice, actually, to keep my clothes on. Because when they first said, ‘you’re going to do a still life at Barlinnie Prison for the still life class’, obviously the first thing you think of is a nude model.“So I went there with a bit of trepidation, thinking, ‘well, I’m not going to be able to say no because I’ll just look like I’m bricking it’.

Miles Kane has hinted that The Last Shadow Puppets could return in the future.Kane formed the group with Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner in 2008. They released two albums, 2008’s ‘The Age Of The Understatement’ and 2016’s ‘Everything You’ve Come To Expect.’Speaking to Music Week, Kane said they while had no plans to reunite soon, he hasn’t ruled out another album for the group.He said: “We won’t be doing anything in the near future, but I think it’d be rude not to do a trilogy.“The trilogy would be the icing, wouldn’t it?”Previously, Miles said in 2018 that he would “never say never” when it came to the group returning on day. “The Last Shadow Puppets was good, I had great fun with that.

Stereophonics and Anne-Marie are set to headline Big Feastival, a music and food festival hosted by Blur’s Alex James on his Cotswolds farm.The Human League will join them at the top of the bill while special guests Sugababes will also perform at the festival, which is set to take place August 26-28.Stereophonics will play the Sunday night and Anne-Marie will close Saturday, while The Human League are set to headline the Friday night.Also appearing across the weekend are Alfie Templeman, The Futureheads, The Sherlocks, The Lottery Winners and Lola Young. Liam Gallagher has announced details of a huge outdoor solo show he’ll play in Dublin this summer.The former Oasis frontman is set to tour this year in support of his upcoming new solo album ‘C’MON YOU KNOW’, which is set for release on May 27 and is the follow-up to 2019’s ‘Why Me? Wilco will play six shows this April to celebrate 20 years since the release of their acclaimed fourth album ‘Yankee Hotel Foxtrot’.The shows, announced earlier this week (February 8), will see the band playing the album in its entirety every night. The shows have been sub-titled ‘We Are Touring To Break Your Heart’ – a reference to the album’s opening song, ‘I Am Trying To Break Your Heart’.Four shows will take place at the United Palace in New York City, while a further two shows will take place in the band’s native Chicago at the Auditorium Theater.

Graham Coxon has spoken about Blur‘s various reunions since their initial 2003 split, and says that the band will “always be capable” of reforming.Speaking on the Rockonteurs podcast, Coxon discussed the freedom he felt during the band’s first return in 2009, that included a headline performance at Glastonbury.“It was great because i played [the songs] in a completely different way, I felt more grateful for the situation,” he said. ” I became a little more grateful for what we’d always had.“I reckon a lot of bands would get that if they had a chance to do that again.

Viola Beach‘s self-titled debut album is being released on vinyl for the very first time this week.The nine-track record first arrived in July 2016 after the Warrington four-piece (Kris Leonard, River Reeves, Tomas Lowe and Jack Dakin) and their manager, Craig Tarry, were tragically killed in a road accident in Sweden that February.A coloured picture disc vinyl version of ‘Viola Beach’ is now set to come out this Friday (February 11) to mark the fifth anniversary of the album’s initial release.
