Embrace have announced details of their new album ‘How To Be A Person Like Other People’ and an accompanying UK tour.The forthcoming record, Embrace’s eighth studio album, will be the follow-up to the band’s 2018 LP ‘Love Is A Basic Need’.Produced by the band’s Richard McNamara, ‘How To Be A Person Like Other People’ is set to be released on August 26 via Embrace’s own Mo’betta label through Townsend Music. Liam Gallagher has announced his latest collaboration with Adidas and confirmed details of an intimate live show in Blackburn next week.The former Oasis frontman previously linked up with the company back in August 2019 to launch a line of Spezial Shoes to celebrate the release of his second solo album ‘Why Me? Why Not.’.Gallagher and Adidas are now set to launch the LG2SPZL trainers, with a release date for the shoes set to be confirmed soon.The singer will celebrate the launch of the shoes with a special intimate show at the 1800-capacity King George’s Hall in Blackburn on April 27. Support on the night will come from the Blackburn quartet The Illicits, who are signed to Alan McGee’s Creation 23 label.“I’m glad to announce my new collaboration with adidas Spezial,” Gallagher said in a statement.

Gang Of Youths made their latest appearance on US television yesterday (April 18), performing ‘In The Wake Of Your Leave’ on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.First released as a single back in January – with a “larger than life” video dropping later that month – the track marks a pivotal moment in the narrative of Gang Of Youths’ recent third album, ‘Angel In Realtime’. Upon its release, frontman Dave Le’aupepe explained that ‘In The Wake Of Your Leave’ was written so he could “reflect on how I became dependent on grief for solace and inspiration”.“The cycle from numbness to acceptance to yearning plays a role in my approach to grieving my dad’s death,” Le’aupepe continued in his statement.

Liam Gallagher has suggested that he could one day make an album full of love songs.Gallagher is due to release his third solo studio album, ‘C’mon You Know’, on May 27 via Warner. He’s so far previewed the project with two singles, ‘Everything’s Electric’ and the record’s title track.The former Oasis frontman has hinted that the album will include a few ballads, despite being a rock’n’roll record overall.

Thom Yorke has given an update on the debut album from The Smile, revealing that it is “pretty much done”.The band, featuring Yorke, his Radiohead bandmate Jonny Greenwood and Sons of Kemet drummer Tom Skinner, formed last year and have been sharing sporadic teasers of a debut album since.New single ‘Pana-vision’, shared this month and taken from the Peaky Blinders soundtrack, marks the fourth track from The Smile since they debuted in 2021 at Glastonbury’s Live At Worthy Farm livestream. They went on to release ‘You Will Never Work In Television Again’ later that same year, followed by ‘The Smoke’ and ‘Skrting On The Surface’ in 2022.Speaking alongside Greenwood on the Smartless podcast, Yorke confirmed that the album is almost finished.Of the process of writing the record, he went on: “Jonny had come with a bunch of ideas, and I hadn’t seen him for a while, so they all just came pouring out before I could go, ‘Wait, wait, wait.’ There was a lot of me retrospectively going, ‘Okay, what am I going to do with that?’ Which was really nice.”Yorke added: “I like trying to find different ways to write lyrics.

Liam Gallagher has expressed his remorse following a tweet he sent directed at Atletico Madrid footballer Stefan Savic.Atletico Madrid played Manchester City in a Champions League match on Wednesday (April 13), and the game included a number of tense moments.Towards the end of the match, Savic appeared to headbutt City player Raheem Sterling, though the game ended in a 0-0 draw that knocked Atletico Madrid out of the league.Gallagher, a supporter of Manchester City, in a now-deleted tweet responded: “Stefan Savic this is a threat if I come across you ya goofy looking CUNT your dead MCFC.”Now, the former Oasis frontman has taken to Twitter again to apologise, though the many replies to the tweet hint at a touch of his trademark cheek and sarcasm.“I’m really upset and annoyed at myself,” he wrote.
