Dua Lipa, Chris Martin, Nile Rodgers and more feature in first-look images of Disney+ series ‘Camden’

Disney+ has revealed new images for the upcoming documentary series Camden, which will feature the likes of Dua Lipa, Chris Martin, Mark Ronson, Boy George and more.Premiering on Disney+ exclusively in May, the docuseries, which is executive produced by Dua Lipa, will go behind the scenes with some of the world’s biggest music stars, revealing untold stories of how their lives and careers were shaped by Camden.The new images released today (April 26) feature Dua Lipa, Coldplay‘s Chris Martin, Little Simz, Nile Rodgers, Boy George and Yungblud. Also confirmed to feature in the series are Pete Doherty and Carl Barat of The Libertines, Mark Ronson, Questlove, Black Eyed Peas, Soul II Soul’s Jazzie B, Chuck D and Sister Bliss from Faithless.The upcoming series is produced by Lightbox, the production company founded by Academy-Award-winning producer Simon Chinn and Emmy-winning producer Jonathan Chinn in association with Day One Pictures, the production company co-founded by Amy Winehouse’s original manager Nick Shymansky and Radical22.Asif Kapadia is the series director, while the individual episodes will be directed by Toby Trackman, Yemi Bamiro and Sarah Lambert.Check out the first-look images of ‘Camden’ below.Camden is a four-part series and will premiere exclusively on Disney+ in May 2024.

‘Secret Invasion’ finale rated worst Marvel title ever by fans
Secret Invasion finale has been voted the lowest-rated Marvel title of all time, according to Rotten Tomatoes.The new series – which premiered on Disney+ earlier this months – is based on the 2008 Marvel Comics storyline of the same name, and sees Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) learn of a secret invasion by a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls who must band together with his allies to prevent a full conquest of Earth.Alongside Jackson, Secret Invasion also stars Ben Mendelsohn, Emilia Clarke, Olivia Colman, Kingsley Ben-Adir, and Cobie Smulders.While audience review scores remained low to average throughout the show, its finale, which aired yesterday (Wednesday 26) is currently on just 11 per cent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.The low scores makes Secret Invasion the lowest-rated Marvel title of all time, which is currently rated at 57 per cent overall.Episode one, titled ‘Resurrection’ has a 52 per cent rating, while episode three and four, ‘Betrayed’ and ‘Beloved’, are at 38 per cent.The finale received mixed reviews from fans and critics, but many are now curious if there will be a second season.In a four-star review of Secret Invasion, NME described the show as “Marvel’s thrilling answer to Star Wars noir Andor, adding that “Samuel L.

These Disney+ shows are going to be on Channel 4
Disney+ shows are being licensed to Channel 4‘s official on-demand service.Alias (seasons one-five), The Americans (seasons one-six), Empire (seasons one-six), Scandal (seasons one-seven), The X Files (seasons one-11), Bones (seasons one-12), The Killing (seasons one-four), Star (seasons one-three), Grown-ish (seasons one-six), and Abbott Elementary (seasons one-two) are included in the deal.Except for Star, all the series are available to watch as part of a monthly subscription on Disney+ in the UK.The additions to the Channel 4 streaming platform will be available to watch from later this month.Nick Lee, head of acquisitions at Channel 4, said: “We’re so pleased to have agreed such an extensive content deal with Disney, ranging from their most iconic series like ‘The X-Files’ to fresh hits such as ‘Abbott Elementary’ and ‘Star.’ We look forward to our viewers being able to binge series after series on Channel 4.”Meanwhile, sign-ups for streaming giant Netflix have risen by more than 100 per cent since the streaming service began cracking down on password sharing.Earlier this year, the streaming service announced details of its password crackdown, making it impossible to use one account in several locations.The rule then came into force in May, with Netflix receiving major backlash from existing subscribers.Since then though, Netflix has experienced a large rise in sign-ups, with the days between May 25-28 – shortly after the May 23 announcement – becoming the platform’s four biggest days of new sign-ups in the US since 2019, as Variety reports.On those days, 73,000 new users signed up for Netflix, a 102 per cent increase on the previous 60 days.
