Despicable Me franchise still shows no signs of slowing down.The last film was Despicable Me 4, which became the fourth highest-grossing film of 2024 ahead of Wicked and Dune: Part Two. The sequel was directed by Chris Renaud, who co-directed the first two movies with Pierre Coffin.Aside from the scene-stealing minions, the film’s are synonymous with Steve Carell’s performance as Gru.

BTS have announced a collaboration with Despicable Me 4 on a new Minions-themed line of merchandise in support of the upcoming film.Illumination, the animation studio behind the film, has joined forces with the K-pop boyband on a line of BTS- and Minions-themed merchandise in support of the movie’s release, which is set to hit theatres on June 24.The merchandise to be released under this project will include T-shirts, hoodies, trainers and tote bags featuring Minions styled as the BTS members, per Korea JoongAng Daily. The BTS Minions created for the collaboration will be dressed in the outfits from the boyband’s music video for their hit 2021 single ‘Permission To Dance’.BTS Minion Funko Pop! figures will be made available for preorder from June 21 onwards exclusive on Entertainment Earth’s website.
