NewJeans and Atlanta-born rapper J.I.D have unveiled a remix of the K-pop girl group’s Coca-Cola promotional single ‘Zero’.Today (June 21), NewJeans and J.I.D released a remixed version of the girl group’s April single ‘Zero’, a promotional track for the Coca-Cola Zero campaign in South Korea. The new version of the track includes slight tweaks to its instrumental, along with a new verse by the rapper towards the end of the song.“I never ever ever want for us to be apart / That’s a fear, puppeteer, pulling strings to my heart / Very serious, severely sittin’ here inside the dark / ‘Cause whenever you depart or disappear, I feel (Heart),” J.I.D raps.The remix comes just weeks after the release of ‘Be Who You Are (Real Magic)’, which was written by Grammy-winning American songwriter Jon Batiste for COKE STUDIO.

NewJeans are set to make their return next month with their sophomore mini-album ‘Get Up’.Today (June 19), NewJeans’ label ADOR announced that NewJeans will be making their return with new music in July. The girl group are set to release two pre-release songs on July 7, before the mini-album ‘Get Up’ comes out in its entirety on July 21.‘Get Up’ will feature six new songs from the girl group, including three “lead tracks” – ‘Super Shy’, ‘ETA’ and ‘Cool With You’ – and B-sides ‘New Jeans’, ‘Get Up’ and ‘ASAP’.

NewJeans‘ Danielle has released her version of ‘Part of Your World’ for the upcoming live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid.The new music video features shots of Danielle, dressed in a sparkly light-blue outfit, performing the Korean-language cover, intercut with shots from the upcoming film. Danielle has also been cast as the voice actor for The Little Mermaid‘s lead character Ariel in the Korean version of the upcoming Disney film.The Little Mermaid is set to be released on May 26 in the United States.

NewJeans have announced their first-ever fanmeet event.Today (May 12), NewJeans took to their official social media accounts to reveal that they will be hosting their first fanmeet event in July. The upcoming ‘Bunnies Camp’ event will be held at the SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium in Seoul on July 1 and 2, and will also be livestreamed online.Tickets to the event will cost ₩99,000 each for all seats, and will be available on May 31 at 8pm KST onwards through exclusive retailer Interpark.Meanwhile, Bunnies Membership holders can apply for “early reservation” for tickets from May 15 to May 17, with a pre-verification period held from May 24 to May 30.

Some lines listeners singled out from the lyrics include “Looking at my cookie / Do you ever smell it different? (Taste it) / What’s with a bite, isn’t enough?”.

ADOR, which launched the K-pop group NewJeans this month, has revealed the girl group’s atypical concept was met with some skepticism within the label’s parent company HYBE.CEO Min Hee-jin recently sat for an interview with South Korean outlet Korea JoongAng Daily, where she talked about producing rookie girl group NewJeans and their atypical launch, which broke from industry conventions. HYBE sublabel ADOR says it will take legal action “on a regular basis” against perpetrators of “malicious activities”, including defamation, targeting its new girl group NewJeans.The label uploaded a notice on its official Twitter account yesterday (August 10) announcing its plans to begin initiating legal action against individuals found to have produced malicious content against the K-pop girl group. ADOR encouraged fans of the group to report such incidents to the company for further action.“Our company has decided to initiate and continue legal proceedings on a regular basis against perpetrators of malicious activities targeting NewJeans and any content by the company including ill-intentioned criticism, the spread of groundless information and defamation,” ADOR’s English statement read.“We ask you to report such activities, including malicious posts, to the official ADOR email hotline for legal affairs (protect@ador.world),” continued the label, before going on to share the encouraged procedure fans should use to email the company.
