The black Vauxhall Astra veered off Lever Park Avenue in Horwich, near Bolton, at about 3.30pm yesterday (Saturday, June 5).
Police say the vehicle 'lost control at speed' and crashed through a brick wall before coming to rest in the garden of a house.
After failing a drug test, the driver was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and driving without due care and attention. The location is the tree-lined road to Rivington with large homes on either side.
