Supermarkets have reported a surge in demand for delivery slots amid fears of a second wave of panic buying. Shoppers anxious about another national lockdown are said to be booking up delivery slots for groceries.
The big chains are desperate to avoid a repeat of scenes in March when customers stripped shelves bare. But over the weekend Tesco, which has more than doubled its weekly online orders capacity from 600,000 to 1.5million, was fully booked until Wednesday, The Mirror reports.
