Students have called for the Education Minister to be sacked with results day being compared to “a funeral”. Protestors slammed the Government for “compromising” their future with the Exam results fiasco.
A protest was held in Leeds after nearly 40 per cent of A-level students in England had their results downgraded, with hundreds losing out on university offers.
Protesters chanted “Gav must go” during the protest, which heard speeches from organisers slamming “educational elitism”. Martha Storey and James Fishwick, both aged 19, arranged for a socially distanced demonstration at Millennium Square.
