The Strictly Come Dancing head judge, 61, was recently told by her doctor that she needed scans on all of her organs following tests that showed the level of testosterone in her body was "that of a man".
The dancer found out her oestrogen levels were "almost zero" and has recently had a scan of her ovaries, kidneys and adrenal glands at King's College London.
Speaking to her worried fans from her bed while resting up, Shirley said in an Instagram video: "Hi everybody I just wanted to fill you in as promised… "I got two sets of results back to day and the shadow on my kidney seems.
