Cynthia Onyedinmanasu Chinasaokwu Erivo (born 8 January 1987) is an English actress, singer, and songwriter.

She is known for her performance as Celie in the Broadway revival of The Color Purple, for which she won the 2016 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical, the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Actress in a Musical, the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album, and the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Musical Performance in a Daytime Program, the latter two she shared with the rest of the cast.

Erivo ventured into films in 2018, with roles in the heist film Widows and the thriller Bad Times at the El Royale. In 2019, she portrayed abolitionist Harriet Tubman in the biopic Harriet, for which she earned nominations for an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award.

'Bit desperate' Strictly fans react as Nikita strips off during dance with Tilly Ramsay

Strictly's Nikita Kuzmin’s bold move received a mixed reaction from fans, with some finding it hilarious and others worrying it had derailed the dance entirely.

One particular detail which set tongues wagging was the fact his shirt still moved around the dance floor with them as it was stuck on what appeared to be his mic pack.Nikita, 23, pulled out all the stops for his last dance with Tilly, 20, but it was still not enough to keep the pair in the competition.

On Saturday night, Tilly and Nikita performed a Samba to the song Levitating by Dua Lipa, earning themselves an overall score of 30.

Judges Craig Revel Horwood and Cynthia Erivo awarded the pair seven points each, while Anton Du Beke and Shirley Ballas awarded them more generous.
