STRICTLY Come Dancing's Christmas Special has been 'axed' for the first time as it's 'too hard' to film during the pandemic.

The festive edition of the BBC One dancing show has been a highlight of the channel's Christmas Day schedule for years, but the Daily Star claims this year's will not go ahead.

The publication claims celebrities had already been booked for the Christmas Special, but they have now been told they will have to wait until 2021 to take to the dancefloor.

A source told the publication: "Usually, filming the Christmas special only takes a few days. "But to do it under the current guidelines would mean quarantining celebs for two weeks beforehand.
